[SOLVED] What is this sound?

Solution
Volume is up full. Still hearing just a steady smooth rumbling.

Likely that the whine frequency may be out of my hearing range.....

I will need to defer to someone who can hear the whine.

Still will offer two interim suggestions:

1) Reinstall the game

2) Reinstall the video and audio drivers

I am not hearing a whine. More like a rumble from an idling motor.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

What game? What menu?

Details needed.
did you turn up your volume? it's pretty audible
also i've deduced it's from my gpu (amd radeon rx 5700xt)
the game is alien quest eve and it's the main menu

I hear it. It's very interesting.... the way it changes in tone sounds like it's doing it with whatever is loading in the system (the game I assume). I honestly don't know what it could be.

Can you rule it out 100% by changing graphics cards or running on-board graphics and have the card out?
