So I took my PC out to clean it a bit and as I was putting the components back in one by one, and I noticed this switch on the gpu while cleaning the backplate.
I have to mention that it is in its initial state now, I haven't moved it but it makes me curious.

I tried to google about it a bit and some people say that is a 2nd bios for mining and other say is a "BIOS clearer" just like the CMOS jumper on the motherboard (but I doubt that).
the gpu is an XFX RX 580 XXX GTS 8GB (quite a couple of X's I know).
What is the best position to have it on? Left or right (I'm asking performance wise)?

Solution
So I'd get the most out of it with the switch on the right side and not on the left side you say?

Correct, at least based on what I can find.
You could always try both positions and measure performance/clocks etc, no harm.... but looks like to the 'right', towards the power connector is "stock" or "gaming'
