[SOLVED] What is this Temperature LED indicator on my MOBO please?

Solution
Hello everyone,

Hope all is well.
Just got my new PC with and my MOBO is the MEG X570 Unify from MSI.
There is a LED Temperature indicator but I don't know which temperature it is monitoring.
Is it for the MOBO, the CPU, the air temperature in the case? I could not find any info in the user manual.
Thank you very much

That is the debug code LED.

If you were having problems booting it would show the code that would tell you the potential problem.

If your not having problems it shows the CPU temperature.

EDIT if you don't like the red light you can also turn this off.

Definitely check the manual...they can be helpful.

And then again...not always! So the Unify motherboard is really good for extreme overclocking, especially using LN2. Ryzen processors have a 'cold bug'...they won't boot if their temperature is sub-zero. Between attempts overclockers will heat the LN2 pot with a torch to raise temperature enough to boot and that LED could indicate the 0C point so they know to take off the torch as it's OK to boot up. It makes sense such an indicator would be located distantly from the CPU as the area around it is covered in layers of insulation to keep condensation and frost from forming on the board components. So keep that in mind if you can't find anything conclusive in the manual.

Hi guys,

Thank you.

OK I have the manual and see the codes but it does not mean anything to me. And this thing looks more like temperature to me. It goes higher when under heavy load etc... and varies by a few degrees.
Again, the manual is very vague....
