My motherboard and case came with a USB 3.0 (Front) connector that looks different to what I'm used to seeing. This isn't a problem if I were to stay with that case but I want to move that motherboard over to my new case but now I'm unable to connect the Front USB of my case which has a 20 pin USB 3.0 connector instead of this cable connector.

Does anyone know what this cable/pin is called and if it's possible for my to get an adapter from 20 pin USB 3.0 to this.

Below is a link to the pictures of the motherboard connection and the front panel cable.

The two far right pins in the upper row:
Pin 12 = reset +
Pin 14 = reset -

It does look like that. I wonder why the board manufacturer used this instead of the 20 Pin. Is there any way I can get my case's 20 pin USB 3.0 to work here or should I scrap the idea of having front USB ports 🙁

It looks like Lenovo (make) used their own custom connector for the front USB 3.0 inputs.
You may be out of luck.
There are 2 USB 3.0 inputs on the back of the motherboard from what I can see but you would need a custom I/O shield to fit your new case.
It's pretty well impossible to move a ready-made motherboard (for example Lenovo or HP or Dell) to a standard aftermarket case unless they use standard components/connectors.

That is true. I will never buy an OEM desktop again in my life! Now that this is out of the way, I ran into another issue with the front panel connectors.

Same answer for this one. If the Manual doesn't specifically list the pinouts, you are out of luck.
