What is uefi bios?

Solution
u can say uefi is the advanced version of bios which has its own gui interface. unlike bios, u can use the mouse in uefi. Uefi is easy to undrstand compared to a normal bios.
oc or not, uefi has got nothing to do with that. For oc the cpu, u need to use an unlocked multiplier cpu and a unlocked cpu compatible mobo.
u can oc the locked multiplier cpu too bt its better if u have not oc'd the older cpus like core 2 duo and core 2 quad, coz u might fry ur beloved hardware.
U can follow this simple guide to learn some important tips for oc'ing ur cpu.
Welcome to the world of overclocking...
Gud luck..

Mod Edit
No, only motherboards with a Z chipset support oc (for example Z77, 787, z170 or the exception x99)
The uefi bios is just a better visualised bios with more features
Uefi is just the new standard for the bios so if you want an oc motherboad, look for z-motherboards

This is not true. Many other Intel non Z boards can overclock. My HTPC used a H81 board to overclock a G3258 without issue. Many articles all over about overclocking on non Z boards if you don't believe me.
