So I have a z97 gigabyte motherboard and in the manual it shows me how to set up "UEFI" raid as opposed to the way I've always done it. Just curious what is this.. do I want it? Any performance benefits?

Thank u.

I would also like to know some of those answers. UEFI vs. Legacy
Does it work with Win10?

The UM can be a little confusing. Windows 8.1/8 only.
UEFI: Built in EFI Shell > Shell> drvcfg > Shell> drvcfg -s xx xx = (Drv [xx] Ctrl [xx]

Uh you just load up the boot manager or whatever and create a raid array. On this motherboard it's Control+I. Others have been like F12 I believe.

The manual referred to this method as "legacy raid"

What does that mean? Sorry.

Oh I forgot to mention this method only works with Windows 8 (and windows 10 I assume) according to the manual.
