what is wdm

What's the difference between a WDM driver set and the Catalyst Software Suite...other than size.

havent used xp in years but would guess the wdm driver gives basic functionality ie card is correctly recognised and resolutions can be picked that the card supports

and catalyst software suite allows all the functions to be used

WDM stands for Windows Driver Model. It is the standard by which drivers are built against. You really need to upgrade off of Windows XP. And I wouldn't advertise that I was still running XP either.
