Man...If I would have known that I could have bought a Zotac Mini 1080 ti for $750 when I spent the same on a Vega 64. SMH. But seriously, what's with these huge leaps in prices in the past few months? I'd love to trade in my Sapphire Vega 64 for a 1080 TI.

On that same note, anybody have a preference on the best way to sell a slightly used GPU?

Miners. Supply & Demand.

Nvidia / AMD won't ramp up supply as they'll be left holding the bag if the bottom falls out of the crypto mining market - Vendors (ASUS, Gigabyte et al) can place orders........ retailers (Newegg, Amazon et al) will get supply and sell near MSRP, but as people are prepared to pay the ridiculously inflated prices, third-party sellers are going to list/sell them for such.

Agreed. Now is absolutely the best time to sell a high end card. It's the only time you can, most likely, sell it for its original purchase price. My EVGA 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid was $849 at the time of purchase which is $10 under MSRP. Prices skyrocketed shortly after I bought mine.

I'd sell it at a online site like Craigslist so that you can avoid fees and such.

Unfortunately selling is the easy part. Buying a 1080 Ti at its MSRP or under is almost impossible. Posts liek https://www.storenvy.com/products/23011095-brand-new-evga-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-0-ti-ftw3-hybrid-gaming-graphics-card-1 make me nervous.

Hopefully sooner than later. What are you guy's personal opinions on AMD vs Nvidia. I know its personal preference and all, but I've never owned an Nvidia card before. Is the 1080 ti worth upgrading to from the Vega 64? Are the driver updates and support that much better too?

Worth it? Not with GFX card pricing at the moment. Crypt-currency has prices up into the stratosphere. Not a simple 1 stop shop to find a 1080 Ti card at or below MSRP. The 1080 Ti would be a significant upgrade and worth it were the prices at their normal levels. They are normally priced from $699(Nvidia reference) up to $859 EVGA 1080 Ti Hybrid).

Agreed. Do you think that Vega 64 will get better with time as more updates unlock its potential?

Idk about that.
