What is worth upgrading in my build?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could suggest me what should be my next step in upgrading my PC. I have i5-6500, rx 580 8GB, 12GB 2133Mhz ram. I currently have no problems in running games but whenever I save money I want to invest it in my PC. Is upgrading from my i5-6500 to i5-8500 worth, or maybe switching to ryzen? I am playing games on 1920x1080 on 60 hz monitor

If you feel like upgrading, then you should wait for AMD to release their new line of CPU (seems it'll be next week).

As for your system, next step would be the processor, the best one you can get us i7-7700 (you will need to update bios to use this chip).

But seeing as the i7-7700 is 300ish $, it will be worth switching to new ryzen which will be released soon (not the current one, current ryzen2600 still gets outperformed in games by the i7-7700)
