what is wrong when you have a chassis intruders is the case open or is the keyboard unplugged

Nothing may be wrong at all.
There is a switch against the case lid that signals to the bios if someone opens up the lid.
The idea is to let you know if someone opened up your machine and maybe tinkered with it without your knowledge.

Or the switch could be faulty..
