Go to an Ophthalmologist and get an eye exam done. They have equipment, testing methods and training beyond what Optometrists do. I was diagnosed recently with Strabismus, a type of double vision caused by improper eye alignment when focusing. One eye will pull in a bit when focusing, so it's like being slightly cross eyed when you focus. They first tested me for the level of Strabismus I have, then prescribed the correct amount of "prism" my glasses need.
Prism in a lens is basically a parabola of the correct dishing, whereby the thinnest part of it has to be centered directly in front of your pupil. This means to see everything clearly out of my glasses, I have to turn my head to look directly at what I'm focusing on, vs rotating my eyeballs. It can take a little while to get used to, but it's WAY better than having to tilt my head back when I drive, which engages other eye muscles for focusing, which can cause neck strain.
I would not put it off too long, because I'm still trying to get over the bad habit I got used to of tilting my head back. I used to be real bad at missing things in games too, which would stick out like a sore thumb when I watched my game captures. Now there's very little I miss, even in games with a ton of scavenging and resources that don't highlight until you're very near them. These are the best glasses I've ever had, and use Power brand lenses.
If you wear glasses or ever have the need for progressive lenses, the Power brand made by Walman Optical is very good because they have very little distortion.
