i don't know what happened i have been using crossfire for the previous year
and the cards work fine paired on my old PC

1 long 2 short indicated a GPU error.
What happens with only 1 gpu?

Between the GPU error beeps and the scrambled display, I'd say at least one of your two cards is toast, unfortunately. Try it with just one, then the other - you'll likely find that one of them does the same thing alone, and that one will have to go (and possibly be RMA'd if you're still under warranty).
