What is wrong with my GPU?

Basically, I can't tell if my graphics card is dying, if I have a virus, or something else. When I play some games seem to crash and others have artifacting then crash after a bit of playing. But the weird thing is that when I play VR, it works perfectly, no artifacting or freezing. Can someone explain this?

Are your drivers up to date?

I would try pulling card and use onboard graphics to see if it is the card. How old/what is it ?

i guess it has to do with loading on your gpu, any difference with gpu usage temp and core frequency when you play VR vs normal?

Will it be the DVI or the HDMI port who´s causing trouble? Also, be sure that the case temps are fine...

Also is the card overclocked?
