what is wrong with my pc ?

I got myself a 1500$ computer 1 year ago .

GTX 970
8gb RAM
i5-4590 3.3ghz
1tb hdd

When I play Witcher 3 , Far Cry 4 or Crysis 3 , I get 30-40 fps on max . I see that an xbox one or a PS4 can run these games and cost less than 400$ . I would expect a pc of that price to run ANYTHING at 60 fps . Is there something i'm missing ?

I know that a friend of mine with similar hardware also can't max out Witcher 3. But you should definitely be able to play all those games with medium to ultra settings (With some tweaks here and there).

But don't expect to run all those games on ultra with maximum AA.

You cant compare them. The console versions will be running at a fraction of the detail settings and wont look anything near as good as the PC. Try dropping a few settings, you cant expect all games to run at 60fps on ultra but it will only take dropping a few settings slightly to achieve it

I currently have Black Ops 3 on PC and One and there a a massive difference in detail in game. There are plenty of comparisons out there that show this, there was a good Far Cry 4 one not too long ago. I have also read that in some games both the One and PS4 are running at 30fps. Now I've not tested this but it seems feasible.
