What is wrong with my pc ?

I recently bought a GTX 960 and when i put it in my pc it would start up then cut out

Could you post your system components (model #)?
Does the GTX 960 has a 6-pin power connector? If it does, did you connect the 6-pin power to it?
Is your PSU enough for the system power requirements?
