So my case fan was making a huge buzzing sound on startup and then quietened down after I got into windows (this happened everytime during boot, I think it only makes a sound when its running at max speed and quietens when it slows abit). Anyway, I opened up my case and had a look at the fan (just to see connection etc) and I noticed a motherboard input to the front panel usb looked a little loose so I just pressed and tightened it in. Well when I tried to start up again, my PC refused to boot into windows!!!!It started fine but everytime the arrow appeared that indicated the startup/password entry for windows, it suddenly restarted. This happened on every single time I tried to start. When I used safe mode however it booted in fine! After awhile the only option my PC gave me was system recovery and normal boot (where the error would occur) and despite running system recovery twice I was still getting the same issue. In the end I had to clean install windows again, can anyone tell me what exactly happened and how I can avoid this in future?
