Just wanted to see what you guys have for speakers, headphones, dac stuff like that connected to your gaming pc.
I have klipsch the sevens powered monitors connected to a svs pb 2000 pro subwoofer. My pc is connected to the sevens via usb and then the sub is connected to the sevens via the LFE port. Gaming is wicked good. Everything just works. I set my sound options to full range speakers so win11 does not do the crossover, it lets the speakers do it. My crossover is at 60hertz so anything below that frequency the sub handles and anything above the sevens do. My speakers have their own DAC built in.
Good audio is really worth the investment when gaming, music and movies.
I have:
Corsair Void Pro RGB USB headset, specs: https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/p/gam...h-dolby-headphone-7-1-carbon-eu-ca-9011154-eu
Connected to USB 3.0 port on my PC case's front I/O.
I use them 90% of the time, both for music listening and in-games. Also, i have made custom EQ preset in iCUE to match my feel to the sounds i hear (i like deep, rich bass sounds).
But besides that, i also have:
AverMedia Ballista Trinity GS315, specs: https://www.avermedia.cn/product-detail/GS315
These are 2.1 speakers with dedicated AMP, that are hooked to 3.5mm jack on rear I/O of my MoBo. I sometimes listen music from these when i'm home alone.
Before the AverMedia, i used to run Colors IT SP-968 5.1 speaker setup (AMP built into subwoofer + has remote), but 5.1 was too much for my use case in later years (also, i live in an apartment, so neighbors doesn't like my beefy setup either), so, i downgraded speakers to AverMedia 2.1 ones (also better aesthetical match to my current rig).
Note: I'm not an audiophile and doesn't care that i don't have a "true" setup (e.g DAC) or that the 7.1 surround sound in my headset isn't "real" but instead simulated. It is good enough for me. Far better than the 2-channel stereo Philips headphones with 3.5mm jack, i used to have.
Current setup with Corsair headset and AverMedia speakers.
My headset EQ preset.
My old 5.1 speakers on the left and new AverMedia ones on the right.
5.1 speakers are currently neatly packed back into the retail box they came in.
My missus has;
Corsair Void RGB Elite USB headset, specs: https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/p/gam...th-7-1-surround-sound-carbon-eu-ca-9011203-eu
She uses her headset nearly 100% of times for music/video/gaming.
This headset is the successor of the ones i have. Though, i did buy the newer version for myself as well but haven't had time to replace my headset as of yet, since the old timer still works, somehow.
Her PC also has:
MicroLab FC360, specs: http://microlab.com/en/catalog/5.1/fc-360-5.1/
These are also 2.1 speakers with dedicated AMP, that are hooked to 3.5mm jack on rear I/O of her MoBo. Unsure why specs say 5.1, since all the pics are of the 2.1 setup.
Now, when to think about it, 🤔 i haven't heard her using her speakers in the past few years.
