As the title suggests id like to know if someone know the type of battery it takes. Im having some problems ,the monitor doesnt get any signal, and im hoping changing batteries would solve it. Dont know if i chould press the clr cmos button too.
MY cpu cooler is a big Noctua so i really cant see anything in the motherboard.

Google the paper clip test for various guides and youtube videos.

Basically disconnect all the cables connecting the PSU to the computer, or even remove the power supply from the computer. Plug it into power.

You need to short/connect pins 15 and 16 on the 20/24 pin connector. This acts in place of the power switch on the computer. The power supply should then start running. That means the fan will start running (though some new power supplies have a silent mode until they get warm). If you have a volt-meter handy you can then check the voltages.

Standard 2032 watch battery. Common ones found in stores will be preceded by two letters, like CR2032, these are fine.

I agree that doesn't sound like the problem. But there is one possibility. If the system is going back to defaults and failing to autodetect a graphics card that could cause a no signal error.

Im sorry for the late response to the post, but i've been so busy i let the pc on a stand by mode.

I know actually managed to test the gpu out on another pc and it seems fine, changed the batteries, did a proper clean up.. Still that annoying no signal on the monitor. Also when i press the capslock to see if the keyboard works when the pc is on and theres no light on the keyboard.
What should i do now? Nothing have warranty

I think its the PSU too. One day power went out and the PSU is cheap it think i made this thread on the forum with a more specific aproach on the problem: tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3142904/asrock-z77-extreme4-hdmi-port-working-urgent.html

Someone said i should use something called UPS to avoid energy spikes...
How can i jumper it now to test?
