What kind of gaming PC can I get for around $1200-$1400?

Pretty much whatever for 1080p.

i7-8700k
Z370 motherboard
2x8GB of memory
512GB SSD
2TB hard drive
Graphics card, something like a GTX1070 would probably fit in the budget. Probably not worth recommending AMD in the this price bracket.
Case
PSU

It can be a standard ATX board or more, Mini ITX, water cooled, etc. It really comes down to what you want.

This is something I put together earlier today, wasn't really intended as a gaming build. Would probably go with a better CPU cooler and motherboard, maybe go up 100W on the PSU.
