What kind of GPU should I get with a 300w PSU? (and these other things)

Hi, I want to upgrade my GPU, but I'm not sure what to get for my setup. In fact, here is my stuff.

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2 Ghz
Current GPU: GT 740
RAM: 8GB
Motherboard: It seems like a Dell 088DT1
PSU: 300w (I don't know the exact name of it)
Case (If it's necessary): Dell Inspiron 3847 case?

Haha, it's a computer my brother built for me when he got a new one. The GPU I'm looking for is something that can run something like, Overwatch at 1080p, 60+FPS, and Medium/High settings (what a mouthful). I heard that getting a GTX 750 Ti was good for my system. Should I get one of those? Or, if you know something better, letting me know would be appreciated. :)

The gtx750ti might work, but won't get the results you are looking for. A better option would be a 1050ti, the kind that doesn't need an external pcie power connector. The 1050ti only requires a 320 recommended minimum, and the 740 you have is a 350w minimum, so you'll be in good shape.

You should probably replace your power supply, especially if it was the PSU that came with your Prebuilt PC! Power supplies shipping with Prebuilts are notorious, and running an overclockable CPU and a fairly powerful GPU might just make it catch fire. Even something cheap from EVGA (like the 500b) would make that miles better!

Dell usually uses Delta as the OEM, and Delta units are only notorious for 1 thing. They not only build a high quality psu (right up there with Seasonic, SuperFlower etc) but they downsize frequently. That Dell unit is more like a 350w unit, that's got 300w badging, not the other way around, which is common for lesser OEM brands like CWT or HEC or GreatWall. I'd trust a Delta built unit over the junk Evga commissioned in the 500 B1 or 600 B1 series any day.
