Sorry, this question might seem a bit silly but what kind of heatsink is this? I got a 212 EVO on my PC but this came in the box of the EVO (the 212 was already put on the build when I bought it).
So I'd like to sell this but I don't know what kind of cooler is it and at what price should I put it for sale?

Also, is it normal for Phenom II x4 965 BE to be at idle around 38°C and at load up to 60°C with the Hyper 212 EVO?

I know it's Cooler Master with around 70mm fan

Solution
That is the original stock heatsink. It's actually not that terrible, but it will wind up to an annoying pitch at full load. It's the main reason why I switched to aftermarket cooling.

As for your temperatures, they are within parameters, but, they do seem slightly high. What is your ambient (room) temperature? Secondly, what with program are you monitoring thermals with?
New: 25 euros
Resell: pfff not even worth it 10 euros should be fine, or 15 dollars.

Sockets supported: 775, 1150, 1155, 1156, 1366, AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1

Tempratures seem normal, its not that good of a cooler and your CPU is a hot one.

Be sure to pick best answer!

Room is about 21°C and monitoring with Core Temp 1.0 RC5

Oh, so it is stock then. It just seemed weird that stock heatsink would be by Cooler Master.

I do believe core temp uses the actual core temperatures (as opposed to the motherboard socket) of your CPU, in which case you're getting more accurate readings at full load temperatures.

Your max temps are 62C.

If you wanted to achieve lower temperatures, I would first check to see that you have optimum airflow with your case set-up. (Intake through the front/side, outtake through the back/top. Minimum amount of wires block airflow.) After that, there is re-installing the cooling unit and reapplying the thermal compound. If you don't have any spare thermal compound, Arctic Cooling MX-4 is pretty good, and widely available.

Thank you very much!
And I guess it just isn't worth selling that stock cooler.

Not unless someone really wants a replacement. It wouldn't be bad to keep around "just in case" but I always hate having things laying around taking up space.

The thing is a good chunk of aluminum and copper, though. You could probably take it to someone who collects scrap for a couple bucks; they'll put the raw materials to good use.

Glad to see you actually picked the BEST solution - maybe more people should beg for that so the BEST one actually gets picked lol

+1 to calc - should u have a fan fail or something of the sort - ALWAYS keep the stock on hand as backup so you don't have a wait while the replacement gets shipped
