What kind of PSU will I need to run two GTX 660's in SLI?

I currently have a 400W iMicro PSU which is able to power my GTX 650 TI through a Molex adapter. Will that 400W PSU be enough to power two GTX 660's in a two-way SLI? If not, what's the minimum I should use for the two graphics cards? I have an extremely small budget for a new PSU. I'd like to keep it under $50, maybe even less than $40.

What about a PSU like this:

It's a 750W PSU and is pretty affordable. I'm not sure what the brand is, but it looks like it's Kentek or something like that.

Haha famous last words! Well not really, but it's exactly that kind of PSU that goes up in smoke. Crazy low price for high wattage from somebody you've never heard of? Wouldn't recommend it. How much would you be looking at for a 550 watt XFX? Or PC Power & Cooling Silencer or Silencer Mk III.

I suppose the XFX seems pretty nice, however, at about $60, it's really pushing my budget a bit. Are the Kentek 750W PSU's really that bad? It seems Amazon sells an 800W PSU from Kentek as well and the reviews seem mixed. What's the worst case scenario if I were to get this PSU?

Would any of these PSU's do the job? (Preferably either of the firs two)

Technically the second one is also a pretty reputable brand, though I'm not sure how good Best Buy is at making PSU's.

I honestly can't say if Kentek are bad because I've never heard of them and they don't appear in any PSU manufacturer database I know. And these are big databases! Worst-case-scenario is the thing goes bang and fries some/all of your hardware. That's extremely unlikely but it's possible. More likely is it simply fails. Maybe it fails fast, maybe it runs a few months and then dies. That was the case with a Thermaltake PSU I bought (before I had any knowledge of quality) - it ran six months and then packed up. Fortunately it didn't go out with a bang and no hardware was damaged.

Where is this database you're looking at? I've found three other brands that "seem" better than Kentek. The three brands are Logisys Corp, Dynex, and Cooler Master. The latter two I've heard of before, but the first two are both under $50 while the Cooler Master is just slightly above what I'd like to have as my budget.

worst case for me was.... power supply shorted out ...burnt a capacitor out on mother board !!! fortunately frys electronics replaced both for me and it only set me back some downtime to re-install the MB! Dont cut costs on your components and hope for the best... Its not worth it... buy a psu with a good rep and be confident in your build
