What kind of screws should I use to install my PC components?

I am really new to PC building and am currently saving up to buy parts to build one. I don't want to make it complicated so I'll just make a scenario. If I am trying to install my fans to my case, should I use the screws that came included with my fans or should I use different ones. Pretty much that scenario but applied to pretty much every component in a PC that you have to screw in. I just want to know if I should use the screws that come included with the component, or should I use different ones?

You can use the screws that come with the component if it includes them. If not, the PC case should come with extra screws just in case.
