I have my current system for 3 1/2 years.
It is an Alienware Aurora R8 with:
RTX 2080
16 MB memory DDR4
Intel i7-9700K
250 MB SSD
2 GB HD
850 W PSU
Ever since the graphic card prices have come down, I have been thinking about upgrading. I have been hesitant to put a 3080ti into my current system thinking that it would be limited with PCIe 3.0.
I like to try to play games at 4K with the highest settings possible (not always due to not enough VRAM). My thought is that I should get or build a system that has DDR5 and PCIe 4.0/5.0 (Z690 Chipset) - Does it really make a big difference?
SO should I just keep my old system or just upgrade the videocard? or should I get a new system?
Joe
