Okay, so I got this very strange virus.

I'm not sure if it is malware, since I never download anything from dubious websites.

This virus is really dangerous.
I've tried many antivirus programs like Avast and ESET but the virus HACKS the antivirus and shuts it down completely, leading to the program not working correctly.
Virus scans take a minimum of 2 days to finish (yes I counted) and there were only 2 threats found which couldn't be fixed regardless of any method I use.

If antivirus doesn't work, then how will this virus be removed?
Please help...

BACK UP EVERYTHING. Sometimes, it will only start with your antivirus.
They can come from anywhere.
Remove ANY important information, Clear the cache on your internet browser as it sometimes saves passwords. When your antivirus says it identifies a threat and does nothing look at where it says the threat is and go to file explorer and search that file and delete it.
Why I say to back up your whole computer is sometimes a virus can wipe your computer so it is best to have a spare, even if the spare has the corrupted file.
Could you tell me what OS you are running?

Did you try out the Boot time scan feature in avast? It will delete/quarantine the virus even before it could load up and start its services. Boot time scan has worked for me, you could also try anti-malware scanners like Malwarebytes(really powerful). If none of these work, do a backup and reinstall the OS.

I agree with this.

When windows defender catches something the details are given right away if you choose to see them. Or check the event viewer find the date and time , roughly, and it is usually right there.
I am curious and thought it was a Task Virus (svchost) Happened to me back in Jan. . Malwarebytes caught it but it would not be removed so easily , even if i deleted it myself. As soon as you delete another takes its place since they are needed to run windows tasks. CPU Virus is another term. i was pinned around 60% or more on 8 threads. luckily System Restore was an easy solution and avoid Windows updates from that day since that is the only thing that happened that week.
