What kinds of screws does everything need?

Hey all,
I am currently building a computer case and I realized I don't know what kinds of screws to get for different parts. I read the wikipedia article, but I keep getting thrown back and forth between 6-32 UNC and M3 screws. The question I have is what parts I need m3 screws for and which parts I need 6-32 UNC screws for and what do I call the fan screws? Any help is appreciated!

Oh, you're building a case from scratch?

Then the standoffs are whatever you specify. Metric, imperial, klingon....as long as you are consistent.
Between cases and motherboards I've always had all the screws I've needed and more. Have you bought things and found you're short? Or are you just trying to be prepared? Maybe if you were intending to connect 8 HDDs or something you might run out of screws, but for any vaguely normal build you should get sent everything you need, primarily with the case and motherboard.

The case or other accessories (fans) will come with what they need.
And the user manual will show you which goes where.

I will have the screws for the accessories then, so that's good, but I am wondering about the motherboard standoffs. Some change from imperial to metric and the other way around. I am designing the case, so knowing if their is a protocol for what these would be is essential as I am going to tap out the holes that the motherboard standoffs will be connected to. Does anyone know if it matters whether these are metric or imperial?
