What lead do i need?

Hi guys,

Just a quick question. I have a 650 Ti boost graphics card and want to dual screen to my monitor and my tv. Attached is the picture of the back of my pc with the two ports i presume i'll need for this. The bottom one currently runs to my monitor, and the top one is free. My question is, which lead do i need to connect that free port to my tv's HDMI or VGA slot? Providing i can of course.

Both will work. one is digital and the other is analog or digital.

So you just have 2 screens total(monitor and TV.)

You can connect the TV however you want. VGA would use an adapter from the DVI-I port(top one) or just go with HDMI(should be the best option and can also send audio to the tv.).

You may need to adjust the overscan in your video card control panel depending on how the TV deals with inputs.

The back of my computer doesn't have a HDMI port i don't think, so would i be better going the VGA route you mentioned? Or can you buy DVI-HDMI adapters as well?

EDIT: Hang on, is one of the slots to the right on the top a HDMI slot?

It does have a hdmi i can see it. unless that is 2 display ports... my eyes arnt so good.


Edit: you can buy whatever adapter you need but you shouldn't have to

Turns out it is a HDMI slot, i've just borrowed my friend's lead to try it out.
