what level of ups do i need

I'm planing on building a new computer and i am going to get a ups for it. i dont know what kind of avible wattage i'm going to need for OUT PUT on one. Here are the system specs:

WD Caviar 160GB SATA 2
LITE ON DVD ± RW
Athlon 64 3200+ Venice
Kingston HyperX 1GB (512MB x 2)
BFG Geforce 7800GTX
Abit Fatal1ty AN8-SLI
Enermax Noisetaker
ViewSonic G75f+b 17" CRT

with those system specs how much power out should i need for on a UPS. All im wanting is WATTAGE out, after that i should be able to take it form there. Also another question i just thought of is: Is the Enermax Noisetaker 600watt power supply too much for this set up or could i get by with a smaller psu, note i would like to try and upgrade to SLI latter on.

Example: If your P/S is 430w and you're running a 17" crt monitor add another 400w for a total of 830w and use that as your minimum guide for a UPS and you should be OK.

At the load configuring website don't leave out anything, include your case cooling fans too to get your full load need of a power supply, then add the extra wattage for UPS factor.

I'm running an 1100va UPS with my system which is almost more than I need but I have my 5.1 surround speakers, and 2 external HDDs hooked up also, so I can actually stay up and running for 15min after the power goes out, and you can check My Puter link to see what all I'm running.

Dont you have a faq in one of forums here about this subject? I think I remember reading it. If so, do you have any objection to me asking Fredi to sticky it in here? One more thought. Here in the last month or so I have noticed a huge spike in the number of hits the forums at ASUS and other Mobo manufactures are getting in regards to PSUs that wont power up their Mobo. i did some research today and was somewhat alarmed at the specific requirements that are now being made outside of the basic # of Watts. The GTX 7800 video card for instance specifically requires a certain # of AMPS on a specific 12V rail.

Yes its the sticky at the top of the Other Components Section, and it covers more than just power supplies, and really I'd like for it to stay right where it is, I always supply a link to it if someone is asking for that type of info, but its been in the other components section since I first did it and I update it every 10 days or so.

On second thought it might be more beneficial to move it to the power supply section if it would benefit THGF more, I don't really have a problem with Fredi moving it, but I don't have the final say so in it, I thought they were going to move it there, when the P/S section was first opened up, but they chose to leave it where it is. I do wish he could remove the old replies from it but still keep it from being replied to, and keep my access to it for upgrading it.

You're right the power needs are steadily growing, even past the days when I realized the need for the sticky I did for the forum.

ok well you guys have anssered my first two questions, so heres another one, im looking at Enermax's web site on the Noisetaker, and its saying:

+12V 1 120mV ±5% 0.5A/18A
+12V 2 120mV ±5% 0.5A/18A
+12V Total 35A

and i've looked at the BFG for their 7800gtx, and they say the card needs 34A on a 12v line. now heres the question, does the psu put out 35A per line or is that the combined Amps on all of the 12 volt lines? I know i'm askin a lot of newbish quesions for a guy who going to school for this stuff... well thanks guys
