I'm buying the Asrock B365m-Pro4 and i don't know what type of m.2 does my motherboard use since i'm also thinking of buying an nvme m.2 ssd

Yes, get a NVMe M.2 SSD.

There's also a small subset of SATA-based M.2 SSDs, but those were mostly for the transitional (one?) generation where M.2 was out, but NVMe was still prohibitively expensive, and some platforms didn't support NVMe yet.
