If one had about $2000 USD, what Mac model would one buy and why? Let me know if you need more info before answering my question. Thanks.

Solution
Don't waste your money on the Retina display Macs, go for the other non-Retina ones. I had read that with the Retina ones, most apps don't even support resolutions that high, especially if you try to install Windows 7 on it via Bootcamp, it will have problems.

At this point, I will leave my build (Hack) as it is. I want to add a real Mac some time soon. By the way, my build (Hack) is a dual boot PC with Windows 7 Pro installed, and I am very please with its performance. At any rate, thanks.

Thanks for pointing that out. I don't think the Retina display is such a great thing. It sounds to me more like a gimmick than an improvement over other HD displays. Just my opinion.

The WHOLE apple product lineup is a gimmick, but oh well. Ain't my money 😀

This isn't a "trolling tread whatsoever! If you don't like my posts, then say nothing or post nothing, period. So far, nobody has given me the answer to decide what to do.

Isn't VMware an expensive piece of software? I used Oracle VM VirtualBox, but it was hard to keep it up with the software. By the way, VirtualBox is free, and I believe VMware is about a $200 proposition.
