hellow, i had written a forum here about that im thinking to upgrade ram. i currently have 2 ddr2 pc2 5300 2gb total. which makes dual channel. i was wondering about the quad channel. to make quad channel does all ram sticks have to be same size??
i know that odd # of ram disables dual or quad channels. how does quad channel forms??
this is my future mobo after upgraded ram (now i have dimm 1, 3 fitted with 1gb ram each)

dimm1 dimm2 dimm3 dimm4
1gb 512mb 1gb 512mb

will this make quad channel??
i will have all 4 of them at speed of 667mhz(5300)

thanks alot~

i read about quad channel sometime ago on the internet. what ever.. so will my rams work well? and will the get faster because of the dual channels??

Have a look at your mobo manual for placement of the memory when you are running same speed but different sizes. The mobo's that I have worked with list placement of the memory as follows; Intel & Asus
dimm1 dimm2 dimm3 dimm4
512mb 1gb 512mb 1gb
