i would like to understand why most people recommend a Samsung TN for gaming instead of Asus IPS if you are a gamer?, i mean in what things the TN panel are better than IPS in gaming? is it just because the refresh rate and the Response time only! or there is something else?

because I'm into the Asus IPS more, but people keep telling me it won't be the best for gaming ..

so confused 🙁 and afraid to regret if i get the IPS

Like you said, TN panels generally have better response times than IPS panels. Because of this they can support higher refresh rates more easily.

IPS panels on the other hand, have much better viewing angles and better color reproduction (TN panels are actually limited to 6-bit native color depth and can only approximate 8-bit depth with spatial and temporal dithering).

If you are OK with 60 Hz and a 2 ms response time does not bother you (pretty much the fastest response time available for IPS panels) then go with IPS. Personally I think 2 ms response is more than enough for gaming; ghosting is only really noticeable once you go above 5 ms.
