What memory do I need to use with my new Gigabyte 965P-S3?

Well since you already ordered it, you might wanna give it a try. To my knowledge, returning the item to Newegg you will pay the 15% restocking fee regardless if you broke the seal or not, so you might as well try.

If it works, great. If it doesn't, try manually entering those specific timings into BIOS - since they are higher than your memory modules are specced, it should not be a problem.

And if THAT does not work, then you may have to return the darn things and order some other modules. Check the mobo manual or website for a QVL. I am anal about Crucial and would therefore also suggest you try their website www.crucial.com, use their memory adviser (enter motherboard model and number and they will come up with a list of their modules that are supported with the mobo, if any).
