I'm building a budget gaming computer to use strictly for Microsoft's Flight Simulator X (FSX). This will be my first computer "build."
I plan on using the AMD A6-6400K and an ASRock FM2A75M-DGS R2.0 FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard.
I've heard from FSX gaming enthusiasts who build their own computers that FSX is very reliant on the CPU and not so much on the GPU and that the game has been designed only to utiilize 2GB of RAM.
So, my question is: what memory should I use?
If I had to guess, I'd use something like:
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
While I'm here, I don't know much about it now, but doesn't the "K" at the end of "A6-6400K" mean that the CPU has been unlocked for easier overclocking? I need to research a lot more before I consider it, but I may want to overclock the A6-6400K in the future. With this in mind, I'd like to buy hardware now that will make it easier to overclock in the future.
