What mobo CPU combos should I look at for gaming?

With so many new CPUs coming out I am not sure where to start looking of if older may be better. It will be for gaming in 1980x1200. Games I will be playing are PUBG, Star Citizen, and Escape From Tarkov. I want to be able to play these games easily at mid to high settings. I know GPU plays in this and I will probably go with a 1060 6gb or 1060 3gb. I want it to be strong but budget oriented.

Thanks

Combos are often built around supply and demand, or more specifically which motherboard is not selling well.
So specifically looking for a combo deal might not be the best way to go.

FYI, 1920x1080 provides a wider aspect ratio to allow you to see more of your surroundings, more pixels is not automatically better if you dont see all of the screen.

Is this rig just for gaming or will you be doing editing, rendering, or anything else CPU intensive? If doing any other CPU intensive tasks then a Ryzen 5 1600 will likely be your best CPU choice while being budget oriented.

Star Citizen, specifically, will be pretty highly multi threaded. As in at least 8 threads, if they are available.
R5 1600 .
Combo's aren't neccessarily a good deal, sometimes the included mobo is... sub optimal.
B350 mobo's are pretty cheap really, paired with R5 1600, solid base for a well performing system that doesn't cost a lot of money.
Don't buy a 3Gb video card going forward imo.
