What Mobo For i7 3770k

So I need to purchase a new motherboard for my new PC and was wondering if the socket had to be LGA 1155 or LGA 1150. All answers appreciated, thanks.

Thanks. Also, my PC currently turns on with 1 stick of RAM and all the lights and fans come on, but nothing comes on screen. Do you think this is a motherboard issue?

could be alot of issues. Graphics maybe, motherboard, cpu, or a self error made putting the system together.
