I edit film, video in 4k & 6k. I also edit photos and do a lot of lightroom and photoshop. I also play a lot of games on a custom build SLI GTX 980 Ti and Skylake setup. I play in 4k.

When I edit video that is 24p on the dell especially sliding or panning left to right smoothly i get glitches or slight blinking I am not sure why. The colors are amazing, build quality too. I just have some option in front of me. 40" sounds enticing and the phillips is supposed to be color calibrated as well.

The Dell and Acer I hear have similar almost identical panels both IPS. I hear the phillips is a MVA panel and will have better contrast ratio and deeper blacks. Is any of this true?

Links are below. Thanks for the help everyone.

The Dell and the Acer are basically the same apart from the fact that the acer monitor features G-Sync which will make playing games at variable frame rates look good. Also the Acer monitor has a quicker GTG response time than the Dell so so far, The acer is winning. Now it leaves you with the Acer or the Phillips! The Acer has quicker response times and G-Sync which will help when gaming and the Acer also has a better stand. The big difference with these is the size and to be honest with you if your gaming as well as editing the Acer is the way to go. If you was just editing then the Phillips would be good but due to the slow response time it won't be great for games.
