Hello , i am looking for a monitor to be used as my Secondary display most probably connecting it to my laptop through HDMI Cable . i haven't used a monitor in my life and kinda confused to chose one .

im looking for a monitor that i can use mostly to read for a long time mostly research papers , PDF Documents , websites etc . Although i play occasionally i only play games like ETS or Age of Empires etc as i have motion sickness im not into any FPS .

Im stuck choosing on size of the monitor as well . Not sure if 24" or 27" would be better . i specifically need an monitor for reading long hours or browsing websites for mostly reading . I even tried connecting laptop to my TV but an 32 inch TV looks more pixelated when it comes to texts .

Any help regarding this would be much appreciated .Im very new to monitors, never used one in my life .

Solution
The size comes down to distance sitting away from the monitor, as well as the resolution of it.

I need to know what resolutions you are looking at getting.

Also since you say reading text, I need to know if small text is OK or if you are planning to increase the size of the text?

Either way, I would say a 1440p 27" display is best.

Bigger screen at the higher resolution means you fit more stuff on screen, also, if increasing text size, due to the scaling with the high resolution, and the bigger size of the screen, you can have more text on screen than with 1080p at 24".

otherwise, if going 4K, 27" is the smallest you should ever get.

If living in another country, try adding your 2 letter country name before the site address like so.

Sizes from 24 - 27" are most comfortable for eyes. Also how somebody says, it depends how far you sit from monitor.
Thanks but im trying to connect my laptop to the Monitor for bigger display ! i have an issue here none of my laptops are Full HD or Supports Full HD i guess , so even if i connect my laptop to an 1920 x 1080 Full HD monitor will it make any difference ?

Check your laptop connections and monitors you plan to buy. I think hdmi to hdmi should be fine.
I have an HDMI cable and already tried connecting it to a 32inch TV , but my Concern is the Tv Supports 1980x1080 but i cant set it to that resolution as it looks very horrible . So im just using the same 1366x 768 Resolution for the Tv as well . It looks like my graphics card on my laptop only supports 1366x768 Resolution . So even if i try connecting my laptop to an FULL HD Monitor it will only be able to display the 1366x768 or will it be able to display Full HD without any issues ?
