Hi all,

Iam thinking upgrade my Benq RL2455HM 24" 60Hz to a 144Hz 24 or 27". Need your opinion to chose the right one.

I play Fps games Battlefield, Cod, etc but i like play other games like assassins creed, tomb rider, etc.. i want a good color monitor with good response.

Iam looking for a Asus MG248QR its a 280€ monitor and came with Black Ops IIII game key in a promotion from asus.

Its a good monitor or its almost the same already have but with 144hz?

Need your recomendation my budget its 300€.

My specs
I5 8600k @4.9ghz
Msi 1070 ti
Gskill 2x8Gb 3200mhz

MG248QR is nice.
This monitor has only FreeSync and you have nVidia GPU, which means this monitor is just a normal monitor. This is not a problem at all.
However,
You can also find VG248Q for €30-50 less and you still get that game.
IF you plan to keep your budget for the MG248QR and still want to get the game, VG275Q is also nice and bigger.
Just look around first :)

Just my 2Cents.. the difference between an good 60Hz and a step up to a 144Hz display will (mostly) not be noticed. I would only personaly upgrade like that if your current is getting old and colors, and brightness is giving you issues. I have verious diasplays from 60 to 144 and from 1080P, to 2K, to 4K displays... for me the biggest difference was getting a larger 2K OR 4K display for gaming. SO I would really suggest that you look around for like an good untrawide if you like to game (the 2K displays).. and being you have an Nvidia display either a nice 75+ Hz or a gsync.. as that will give you the best bang for your buck. if you like to game.

like something like one of these.. if you can up your budget a bit then the acer one on this page https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&IsNodeId=1&N=100898493%20600414455%20600417886%20600284704 (or maybe you can find it on another site for less.. as I think you are in the UK based on your price indicator. but I am not 100% sure being I am in the US.

This one is up to 75 Hz https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824025555 according to the specs..

then you get that is over your budget but 144 and an nice ultrawide https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009847

anyway.. hope this suggestion helps you out. once you go above 1080P you will probably not want to go back!!

EDIT: woops my bad.. I forgot about the other 2K monitors like this one https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009769 its close to your price.. 144 Hz 27 in.. so its still nice for sure.. and better then a 1080P

I do know one person with this monitor https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824106004 and they LOVE it.. but its above your price range... that person also has like 64GB of ram and so on... so yea. I would really go for the other one I linked above this one.. in your price range and much nicer then an smaller 1080P display for gaming :)

It depends on the games and the budget you have.
For Witcher 3, Skyrim, etc. higher resolution and image quality are more important.
For fast paced games like Overwatch, CS:GO, etc. faster monitors are more important. Having 144Hz compared to 60Hz is night and day.
If you have only €300, you can only pick one of those above.

The black ops IIII game its not a priorety but once they have this promotion i would like catch.
I think i go for a 24" because i use a desk for my PC and iam very close the monitor like 60/70cm 27" mayby its lite big for FPS games.

Iam looking for MG248QR instead of VG248Q beacuse of design.. the MG have a better look than VG and its more recente monitor MG its from 2016 and VG 2013.

Doctor rob.. thank for you sugest but that monitors are very big and the last one o link Acer XG27HU its 400€ in my country iam from Portugal.

Think my card not good for more than 1080p beacuse i play Assassins Odyssey in 1080p and i get average 71fps if i put 2k i play less than 60fps i like play minimum 60fps.

Black friday its coming in a week i ill wait but till there need chose one to buy.

You said, game is not the priority.
If games are not the priority, I would rather go for the higher resolution path instead of speed.
If your GPU has FPS issues on that resolution, you can always play on lower resolution on that monitor.
Monitors can display any resolution up to it's highest/native resolution.
