What monitor should I get?

Hey guys!

So for a long while now I have been meaning to get a new monitor to go with my computer, as currently I am using a SAMSUNG LE32D450 32" 720p @60Hz. I have just been given £300 for a monitor for Christmas and I am really stuck for choices at the moment.

The Specs I would want:
-IPS instead of TN ; Better viewing angles.
-1080p or 1440p, yet I would favour a higher resolution.
-27" is the sweet spot for me, yet 24 is, well, okay...
-It would be amazing if I could have a monitor at 120Hz, yet 60Hz is just fine, I can't really see THAT much of a difference, just a bit.

By the way, I have an ASUS GTX770 in my build, so it can pretty much handle any monitor you throw at it. Also my parents may allow me to have a little more money is it is VITAL.

Unfortunately there are NO IPS 120hz monitors. Max is 60hz for ips for now.

I recommend the Asus MX279H, I have the 23' version and it is great. Games, movies and pictures look great. But it does need a little bit of color calibration to make it look really good.
