I am building my first computer and the main thing I want to be able to do is run Solidworks on it for college. I bought the NVIDIA K600 graphics card and want to know what the cheapest monitor I can get that will still be good enough for the card. I don't really play games either so I know I don't need a really nice monitor. Also, I want dual monitors which is why I'm looking for a cheap monitor, besides the fact I'm in college and poor.

What's your budget and prefered screen size? I don't really work in CAD, but I do work in GIS. Pretending they are the same for a few seconds, I would recommend a higher resolution, IPS monitor with 100% sRGB accuracy and 99% adobeRGB accuracy. Unfortunately, that'll probably set you back at least $500. Which brings me back to my original question, what's your budget?

Well I'm trying to keep the cost of the computer under $1000 and I've already spent $800, so I guess around $200-$250 for the monitor. I'm thinking I'll just buy one monitor now and use my crappy old monitor as the second one (which I really just use to have the instructions up for what I'm making). As for size, the max I would want is 24". I'm wondering if it's better to go for a larger screen without the IPS or a smaller screen with IPS considering my budget.
