I have bought all the parts already, now I need a monitor. Was planning to get a ASUS VS248HR 24 inch Gaming Monitor (1 ms, 1920 x 1080, HDMI, DVI-D, VGA, 250 cd/m2) - Black from Amazon but I read a lot of reviews that says the monitor gets dead pixels easily.

My budget is around £100 and I only play games such as CS:GO and TF2 so I don't think I'll be needing a 144hz. (I don't think 144hz matters for regular browsing and coding?)

So which monitor should I get, thanks.

Solution
My priority would be quality image first, then stuff like high refresh rate second. At 24" in size, a 1080p monitor is fine.

Dead pixels can happen to any monitor. In fact, some manufacturers consider it normal if a monitor has a couple of dead pixels, depending on their location on the screen. I would not let that stop me, assuming the monitor has everything you want.

If you run CSGO and TF2 with a 1050 Ti at 1080p you should see very high framerates. This means, with those two games, you could probably use a 144hz refresh rate. It's not required though. For coding and general computer use then 60hz is fine.
