what monitor should i use 27inch 1080p 120-144hz or a 27inch 1440p 60hz

Hello everyone,

I wanted to know what kind of monitor i should be going with with my set-up.

i dont know if links are ok on this forum but if they're not i'm sorry and i'll edit the post.
The GPU is a single EVGA GTX970 but instead of the one linked there i'm going with the FTW edition and i will be adding a second gpu once i've got enough breathing room financially to do so.

There are allot of monitors out there and i know allot of Korean monitors are cheap and can do 2k 120hz but i'd rather have something wich i can rely on and wich actually has some brand recognition.
I'd like to hear what you all think.

Have you looked at IPS screens yet?
In theory the 120hz refresh would be a better choice for higher displayed Frames - smother in FPS games where you turning to target and shoot
