I currently have Philips 231E (1920x1080@60Hz) monitor, but I want a better gaming monitor that will go well with my new GTX 1070.
What I am seeking is a 23''-25'', 144hz, 1ms, 1920x1080 monitor.
There is a lot of things about G-sync, V-sync, and such that I don't understand, even after reading about it multiple times, so please help me with whenever something like G-Sync is needed, even when you have a good graphic card.

G-sync is not needed, but it is nice. How noticeable it will be for you depends on lot on what you're playing. I almost never notice screen tearing even when actively looking for it. G-sync also increases input lag a small amount.

I would look for the Asus VG248QE, BenQ XL2411Z, or Asus MG248Q if you don't want to pay the extra money for Gsync.

On a game like battlefield 1 I don't get any screen tearing on my 60hz, but since I can't keep up 144 fps, then I'm worried I will get screen tearing on a 144hz screen.
