What monitor would be best for my pc? 144hz 1080p or 1440p

Professional gaming would favor the 144hz 1080p, as the faster refresh rate will be critical in fps games and extra pixel density matters less. Professional editing would get the 1440p monitor for the extra real estate (1440p monitors are usually larger than 1080p) and more pixel density.

For casual users, the choice would be less obvious as the 970 can perform in both resolution for games. It would depend on your personal preference.
