What motherboard do I pick with this build? (First Build)

1) What motherboard will work great with this build?

2) Will the things I have picked all work great right away? (Possibly a silly question but people say that "you'll need updates" or "not compatible" on other posts so I'm a little nervous.

Also, since you went with an unlocked processor, I assume you want to OC, which means you'll want an aftermarket CPU cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo at least.

The parts should work right off the bat, but you may want to make sure the graphics card will fit the case as the Gigabyte card is longer than the other GTX 970s

short-term, you could keep the factory cooler, and only swap it when you decide that you will overclock the cpu. this allows you to postpone at least one purchase. and the included cooler is, well, included, so it's "free".
