I made thread as a poll to help me decide what motherboard to buy. When listing motherboard specs please mention how much you raised you were able to oc your fsb, the price, and if it had 2 pci e x16 slots. Any additional positive and negatives would be great.

im using an asus a8n sli32 deluxe. s939.

amd x2 4400 oc,ed to fx60 speeds.

basically dropped the memory down some raise the fsb
from 200 to 238mghz.

have had the fsb to 248 before but that is with
two sticks of memory.
cant go that high with 4 sticks.

i have 4 corsiar 512 xms.

the extra 2 sticks of memory makes ahelluva lot more
difference performance wise than the oc.

also have ran sli but put the other gpu in another computer.

at 10x7 resolutions sli doesnt show much improvement.
but does increase temps quite a bit.

sli does make a difference on my32inch hdtv but i dont always hook
my computer up to my hdtv.

did take it out to my moms house and let the kidsplay
cod2, bf2, fear, and oblivion. on my moms dlp projector
over the holiday weekend with sli.

Well I am a MSI fanboy, they have never done me wrong. My systems older, like socket A, but it's all good. Of course I want a c2d 6400, my MB will be MSI, great company.

i also have an msi mobo s939 and used to have a socket a mobo
(k7n2 delta).

I have a Abit KN8SLi, very stable & cool running MB paired with a x2 3800+, last time I checked the board is available

Asus P5B Deluxe wifi
Paid about 260.00 delivered to the door.
I bought it for the FSB capabilities .
The best I can do with the board is 533 FSB
600 1:1 DDR 1200
Good solid overclocker
the only thing I dont like about the board is the drop in memory bandwidth at high oc's
if your happy with 400 FSB its rock solid
