Hi guys. At the moment I'm really struggling to find a good priced motherboard in South Africa. I would like to: Overclock, SLI (only 2-way is needed) and have 4 DDR3 slots Here is my setup so far: Note that I'll also add the prices locally and what the dollar equivalent would be (locally). It's also my first PC to build so I only want to spend maximum R10 000 = $1250. I also would like to SLI two GTX580's in future, for now I'm getting have a single GTX560.

CPU:
Core i5 2500k = R2100 = $262.50

Motherboard:
I have no damn idea what to get.

Graphics Card:
EVGA GeForce GTX560 = R2100 = $262.50

RAM:
Corsair Vengeance 4GB = R340 = $82.50

Chassis:
Zalman Z9 Plus = R600 = $75

PSU:
Corsair CX600 = R700 = $87.5

HDD:
Western Digital 1TB = R885 = $110 (cheapest 1TB in south africa)

Operating System:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit = R 1040 = $130

That totals to about R7750 = $968.75

OK are the options:
Gigabyte P67A-UD4
Asus P8P67 Deluxe
Asus Sabertooth P67
Asus Maximus Gene Z

Hi the ASUS P8P67 WS REVOLUTION is one of the few motherboards that has full PCIE 2.0 x16 for BOTH cards, most are limited to x8. But the Motherboard does cost $245 so you get what you pay for here, super performance. Not sure if its avail in your area but worth checking out.

I also think maybe an ASRoCK PRO Z68 board would be nice, but only if you want the extra goodies (SSD cache/Lucid/PCIE 3.0) and they just don't seem worth it... I just use a big SSD for my OS and have a good GPU so the Z68 has nothing for me...

Have Fun

i also want to point out the fact you said you want to sli 580s... on 600w... you need at least 850w of good flow but even then.... your pushing it a little. i would reccomending to sli gtx 570 with a 80% bronze certified psu like this one:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139022 or if your willing to spend much more... (its gonna be over your budget) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139009

i dont live in south africa so i dont know if it will cost more ( judging by your statements, yea probably, but i dont know how much). sorry if they are too much

OUch $400, of the boards you listed I think the ASUS P8P67 DELUXE (REV 3.0) is the best performer. (excellent reviews, easy to OC, stable 16+2 Power design NICE!!)

I would say go for the Sabertooth but I am leery of the plastic cover especially with the summer temps I am sure you have.

BUT only x8, x8 when SLI...

Yeah I agree the PSU needs to be beefed up for SLI, especially for 580's. But since the OP is only buying the 560 now he could get away with it, although I would buy the Corsair. I have the tx750 W.

Another option is to run 2 PSU's (One system, One GPU's) but unless you are comfortable doing some rewiring I wouldn't recommend it.
