What Motherboard is best at handling my cpu?

I want to switch from an AMD cpu to an intel i7 4790k, but I am struggling how to determine what motherboard to get. I was planning to get the MSI ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z97-GD65, but my friends want me to get the Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO. i really don't have a budget, but i would like it to be under $250 if possible.
