What Motherboard Should I Get?

So one of my pci-e ports went out on my Z87 Motherboard and I am RMA it back to the factory, its a 1 1/2 year old board. So I am going to use it as an excuse to buy another board and give this one to my dad.

I have the i7-4770k right now and am looking to give that to my dad in the future also and buy the i7-4790k because thats the only one that is left in the quad core processors for the next year or so.
Or any board at the matter.
So which Z97 board should I get?
I was looking at the Maximus boards but dont know to much about them so give me your advice in choosing one.
Or any board for that matter.

By the way my old board is the ASUS Z87 Sabertooth great board from my experience.

Well My budget is pretty good so I don't care to much about that but not enough to not have to upgrade everything at once, I looked at the extreme and it looked cool buy my rig is Red LED driven. if they had that in red I would consider it more. Also I don't know if it's possible to get a Z97 with DDR 4 ram yest but that would be cool.

Whats the difference in the Extreme6 and the Fatality?

Aww that sucks I have SLI and the fatality doesn't support it, thanks i7baby youve helped me out on tomshardware in the past a few times.

I like the red and all the bells and whistles whats the best gaming board in your opinion?
Perferably red if you can?

I'd say the 6 - better bang for the buck than the 9. And more features than the Fatality.

ok, I think I'm going with the ASUS Rog Maximus VII Formula.

What do you think of this board?

ROG is overly expensive.

Its not listed in the tiers. But it'll be the same as the Asus Formula mobo in tier 1B. Extreme 9 is in tier 1A. Extreme 6 is also in 1B.

Its a good mobo. Just more expensive when compared to ASRock.
